Waitrose all-butter are again high in my ranking this year, though good old Greggs have placed a saucy little number up for your delectation, in the form of a vienese mince pie, which holds my vote. Great mincemeat - not too sweet - and a near-perfect filling-to-pastry ratio. They also taste great cold - the real test of a great mince pie!

Waitrose All-butter don\'t get out of mid league with our ratings. It\'s all about the Fortnum
