Greggs Mince Pies on a plate

Quite a 'hand made' look to this pie.

Nice edging details and covered generously with icing sugar.Mine was a bit 'lumpy' in looks though.

Single steam hole in the middle looks promising though. Pastry a little dry and crumbly, but nice a soft. Not filled too the top though.

Quite nice filling....even so.

"Even Brandy Butter and cream couldn't make this one edible."
"Another unconventional pie in the flatter style. A nice biscuity style crust, and spicy fruity filling. Not outstanding but pretty good all round."
"A nice pie light & not too rich a good snack pie"
"I actually quite liked it!"
"Found the icing powder topping a bit overpowering.Looked a bit pale too."
"Well I recognise these from Greggs. I don't mind the filling but there is a lot of air in there. Pastry is how I like it , quite short. Not one of my faves though"
"Lovely pie !"

The best mince pie I have ever bought, much nicer than supermarket versions.
Almost like homemade. Lovely short pastry not oversweet & with nice chunks of apple.
