"Shortcrust Pastry crumbled easily, like the quality of the pie. A nice looking pie that just couldn't be backed up by its taste. A bit like a mermaid that can't swim. "
"Morrisons...a lovely pie, great taste if a little crumbly in crust. Very heavy due to the amount of filling"
"Morrisons? The most decorative pie top so far by a mile with it's pretty icicle motif and the pastry smelt nice and buttery and the texture was quite nice to bite into - biting into pie the filling was pretty flavorsome and tangy and the impression was that the quantity looked ample but could be because pie not as deep as some others. Good all round pie."
"Looked festive good quality filling and plenty of it for a change puts the other pies to shame. Morrisons"
"This is a pie of contrasts. It excels in visual presentation with a complicated snowflake motif and plentiful sugar treatment, but provides no nasal titillation. Heavy in hand; sweet and sharp on tongue; abundant crumbs in lap. The pastry disintegrates as quickly as a child’s excitement in a New Forest Lapland. However, the filling is plentiful and succulent enough to override these failings. Could have been a winner had the aroma and patisserie delivered."
"This is a pie that cries out to be eaten. It has an interesting and appealing design, with a good sized dome. Solid feel, tasty pastry that holds well (no crumbling). Filled up the top with a good textured mix. Could not wait long after first impressions before polishing off the entire pie and looking for the next one. This is definitely my favorite to date (scores should reflect this). Would not hesitate to buy more or these, where are they from? I guess they are from Harrods!!!"
"a sweet & tangy filling was the defining feature of this very well-presented pie"
"Very pretty, tasty and moist little thing"
"Waitrose - Yummy, my kind of Mince Pie nice full filling with a melt in the mouth pastry!"
