Three steam holes.. Could this be a nice full pie?
Good sugar coating. Amazing aroma.
Pastry a bit dry, hard and thick.
Still a good pie though.

good pastry - i like a lovely thick shortbready pastry and this delivered... the filling was fruity and rich as it should be - could use just a tinge more booze, more spice...all round great pie

Too much flavour here, mincemeat a little dry and pastry too thick. Very nice effort but just over the top. I can't believe these are the best pies tasted. 
ps Greggs??? Have come near bottom of our testing for the last three years, so we didn't bother this year. Good appearance but it stops there.

My favourite pie this year by far. Great pastry, such a generous filling and a wonderful Brandy kick. A complete pleasure. Well done.
