A rather nice pie. Good looking with nice design on the top.
It had quite an overhang giving it that 'home made' kind of look.
Pastry was quite light a fluffy, but a bit too crumbly, ending up on my lap.
Filling was good, sweet and quite fruity, I like that.
The overhang made the pie  look bigger than it was, so there was less to actually enjoy...

Reviewers Comments and Guessed Origin
"Pastry a little stodgy/fatty for my liking and not that visually appealing (I selected off the plate first and took the most intact looking one).  Whilst disappointing on pre-smell and initially on first bite, it was not bad overall with the chunky filling making up for it and giving it a bit of whoomph."
"Bit sticky clings to the inside of the mouth and teeth."
"Visually this pie is appealing with ample and even sugar coverage. There is a buttery aroma with a fruit nose that is subtle yet appealing. The crust quality is good with a clever Christmas Tree design. There is a lack of filling, and the fruit that was in attendance is under whelming. Sadly the pie created expectation that it failed to deliver on."

I agrees this mince pie is horrific, and we got two free!

This is the mince pie you palm off on Christmas moochers who have come visiting for free food. If this doesn't get rid of 'em, try a lemon mayonnaise sandwich.
