"A poorly put together pie that has started falling apart after just looking at it. I find myself with pastry everywhere and it definitely wasn't worth it for the tasteless juice on the inside. " "Lidl? This pie fell down quicker than jody marsh after a quick shot of rohypnol! Needed cutlery or some 'no more nails' to hold it together. " "Mmmmm that was so good. Can I have another? Much softer pastry than the Tesco biscuit pie of last week and it actually tasted of something interesting; butter, a bit of salt. Nicely textured filling with not just vine fruits but some citrus peel too, as it should be, not too sweet, I'm happy. I'd serve these without worry. Something posh. M&S ?" "Morrisons - Very good pie. Looks quite average but is far from it. This pie has a lovely fruity filling with moist pastry to compliment. Enjoyed this one and would buy more :-)" "Not bad at all for a fairly generic mass-produced pie. Decent to look at, yummy crust & filling (which is nicely textured and fruity to the extent that you can actually taste multiple flavors), and minimal gap between filling and roof. Major complaint is the too-thick crust which results in a disappointing crust-to-filling ratio. The crust is quite moist but does tend to end up all over the place.... I think I have some in my hair?!" "Not very appealing to look at pre-bite - no sugar (just one sad grain actually) and a somewhat rough and ready appearance with a vague looking tree motif. Biting into pie, initial overwhelming impression was a moist, stodgy pastry which was pretty much tasteless - certainly no hint of any buttery taste. The filling however was pretty tasty (but maybe it's a case of the filling being 'relatively tasty' given the bland flavored pastry). The filling was in fairness to generous proportion within the casing. Put it this way, if I had to eat the rest of a box of these, I would just lick out the filling and throw the pastry bit away. I'm going for someone's Value/Basics Range such as Asda Farm Stores." "Rather like a black hole this pie seemed to be collapsing under the size of its own mass. A fissure the size and shape of Katie Price's cleavage opened in the pie top when attempting to leverage the pastry delight from the heavily crimped tin foil casing. Showing little star quality, the motif was as indeterminable as the appeal of the aforementioned overinflated 'celebrity', but surprisingly the filling proved to be the antipathy of the Jordan's chest by providing quality but with little quantity. If this pie was an astrologer it would be Patrick Moore. Morrison's." "Recession pie - Extra Flour and water making up the numbers... Somerfield?" "Sugar coating! Not a bad overall package though. Asda?" "The worst pie so far. I only got a chance to eat half of it as the rest fell apart and ended up on my desk. It'll probably end up being from somewhere posh, but I'm gonna guess Lidle. " "What a letdown the whole thing never got off the ground. The only good thing was the foil tray it came. Must be a Lidl"
