"In my book, any pie that big deserves a high score. I was initially worried that the filling quantity might be a bit low, but it was almost to the top of the casing! All this pie is missing is the visual presentation - but thats really not that important. I've got no idea where these pies could have come from." Pre-bite, it did smell very buttery with a hint of the fruity filling. First bite and the pastry is moist and buttery and the filling is pretty tasty and well textured too - not a bad combination and although I personally prefer a drier more biscuit-like texture, the moister higher fat pastry will appeal to the broader masses. Overall, this is a robust looking and tasting pie and for me, is something of a mixed bag. If you were hungry, this one would satisfy, but it's maybe too hefty as a casual snack pie. I'm guessing one of the mystery producers who have sent in a pie, but who is it?
