Reviews 2011 - Round 02 - The Co-Operative 6 luxury all butter mince pies PDF Print E-mail
Date:  14/11/2011
Pie:
The Co-Operative 6 luxury all butter mince pies.
Cost:  £1.50
Score:  56.25%

The Coperative Extra Special Mince pie is a good looking pie, with some rather nice deorative holly leafs on top.
The sugar coating was a bit spase on my pie, it seems that most of the sugar came off the pie and was in the box.
It looks a touch over cooked, slightly brown round the edges too.
First impressions were disappointing as my pie was only just half full. Most of the pie was full of air! with such little filling it was hard to distinguish any fruit or texture.
Over all a good looking pie, that failed to deliver!

A good first start to the Mince Pie Season. Mr Kiplings Pies are usually a good bench mark, a reference pie, a pie to 'get your eye in' for the season ahead.
