Large mince pie, exactly how big if we are talking dinner plate size or bigger!

If it is dinner plate size we would suggest that you bake the pasty case ‘blind’ for a few minutes maybe 5-10 maximum before putting in the filling & top pastry because you may get a soggy pastry bottom.
