Today's pie has a very 'home made' feel. Slightly squat with a gentle sprinkle of icing sugar there is a hint of filling oozing out the side. Considering it's lack of height it certainly has a good weight, so there must be plenty of filling inside. First impressions are good, the pastry is a little try but very soft it dose not crumble. The filling is sweet and there is definitely fruit in there, but it's a little hard to distinguish. All in all a nice pie, probably one of the best of the 'squat' 'home made' style.
