Summary

Today we have the pleasure to reviewing Mince Pies that were sent to us by Thomas The Baker. We've hear that these were award winning pies so when we got the chance to try them we were excited.

As you can see from the photos the pies arrived well packaged and protected. So they arrived in perfect condition for us to review. I won't go into the detail on the unboxing, the photos show all the goodies that Thomas The Baker sent up. On to the Pie.... It's what you are reading this review to find out about...

A rather nice looking pie, each one different and unique with a real 'home made' feel and a light sprinkling of icing sugar. It's a very good size pie to, and feels heavy in the hand so it must be full of mincemeat, we can see it seeping out from under the lid.

First impressions are excellent, soft moist pastry that gently gives way to delicious filling. The pastry is just about perfect an doesn't crumble. The filling is very good, not to sweet, with plenty of texture. You can see and feel the fruit. And there is plenty of filling no air gap to speak off so its a generous pie too.

Overall: a wonderful Mince Pie experience. Yes these pies do deserve awards. It's just a shame that they are not available in our local stores.
