Summary

The Mince Pies are well packaged and very well presented. Interesting that they don’t come sealed in cellophane, a trend that we have been watching amongst this years Mince Pies.

The double star design is quite original, with gaps to let the steam or during cooking. These pies look very well filled. The only downside to their appearance is the powdered sugar coating, we’d prefer granulated sugar for a little more crunch.

First impressions were very good indeed. The soft pastry gave way easily. The filling was quite fruity with plenty of texture, and not too sweet. We count not detect any alcohol or brandy flavouring. The entire sensation in the mouth is very pleasing indeed.

We have to agree Iceland have produced a very fine Mince Pie indeed. Will they be the best of the season? Only time will tell.
