Today's pie has a very homemade feel with each pie looking unique and hand crafted. It's one of the short / wide pies so you get exactly what you can see, with few hidden details. Our pies had a health dusting of icing sugar, not my preferred choice but they were impressive as the coating was still on the pies. Not a lot of height to this pie, but it's a good weight in the hand so here is hoping that there is no air gap! First impressions were good. The pastry was soft and light, easy to bite through but not crumbly. The filling is good, quite sweet, but there was definite texture and fruit.All in all, a good pie with a handmade feel. We just wish that there was more of it.
