So the first pie of the season (a little late in starting). This pie is a pleasure to behold with the snowflake design and sprinkle of granulated sugar. it had a very subtle aroma, almost too subtle. It's an 'regular' size pie and doesn't feel particularly heave in the hand. First impressions were disappointing though, my pie was very dry, the pastry hard and very crumbly. The pie was only half full of filling, another disappointment. The filling was ok, but barely enough of it for me to get a good sense of any fruit.All in all a bit disappointing for the first pie of the season....
