Today we have a rather nice looking pie to try. Sainsbury's have a new design for their 'Tast The Difference' pies, and it's rather pleasing to look at. We particularly like the way that the filling is slightly oozing out from the gaps in the lid, which gives it a home made feel. Also a good sign that it could be full of filling. First impressions were good, pastry was a good consistency just soft enough, no crumble. The filling was nice and fruity and not too sweet and there was plenty of it. All in all a rather nice pie. We suspect that warmed in the oven this pie would crisp up nicely and you could pretend that it was home made!
