A good first start to the Mince Pie Season. Mr Kipplings Pies are usually a good bench mark, a pie reference pie, a pie to 'get your eye in' for the season ahead. Most of the pies were well presented with the granulated sugar coating (my favorite). My pie was a bit too soft and crumbly. It was hard to get it out of it's silver casing intact. However I did not get a lap full of crumbs. The filling, as usual, was very very sweet but pleasantly fruity with texture.
