What a lovely looking pie. It's got all the elements, holly leaf design and granulated sugar. The only thing it's missing is a steam hole. It's a reasonable size pie, filling it's normal size foil case.
First impressions were OK. Pastry was a little dry and crumbly, but it held together. Filling was tasty, with texture and fruit, but the pie was less than half full. What a disappointment that the domed top was just full of air.
In summary, it could have been a truly great pie but was let down by the pastry and lack of filling.
