The Holly Lane Deep Fill Mince Pie has much the same design as previous years, but we thought that the sugar coating was somehow less than previous years. The pie looked a little over cooked with brown edges.

First impressions were a little disappointing too, with the pie only being half full of filling. Pastry was nice and soft though with very little crumble.

A disappointing effort for the usually high standard of Holly Lane today.
