Now here is a pretty looking pie. Quite a unique design with the start shaped steam hole incorporating a festive design with a practical feature. Could this pie be full to the brim with tasty filling... lets find out.A reasonable size file, with exceptionally generous sugar topping glinting under the lights. There was a good aroma as I opened the box, but sadly that seemed to disperse when I came to try the pie. It's a good weight in the hand, another sign on plenty of filling.First impressions were very good. That generous sugar topping gave the lid a bit of a crunch, but the pastry was still soft and it didn't crumble. Plenty of tasty filling to be sampled, with a fruity texture.What's not to like about this pie. It delivers in all the right areas. Only that crunchy sugar coated lid that causes a little concern.
