Well here is something new for the Mince Pie Club to try. A Mini Mince Pie. They are small, but well made. The delicate snowflake design and generous sugar coating make this pie look impressive. Amazingly they have managed to incorporate steam holes into the design as well, so this pie must be full of filling. The aroma from the tray of pies was lovely, but individually it's much harder to detect.

First impressions were good. Lovely soft pastry with a slight crunch. Sweet outside with a delicious filling. As the proportions were much smaller it was harder to detect filling texture.. So I had to have a second pie.

For me these small pies have the ratio of pastry to filling to biased towards pastry. In summary, a very good small pie.... I just wish there was more.
