A great looking pie, but lacked filling. Waitrose you know you can do better!
Today we have the Waitrose No 1 All Butter Mince Pie in for review. Just one left in the box, looks like plenty of these pies have been sampled!
As you can see from the photos it's a great looking pie, with a delicate snow flake design on top. We can see the sugar, but there could be more.
The pie is a good size and weight, it stands a little taller out of it's case than some other pies
First impressions were a little disappointing, our pie was a bit dry and the pastry brittle and hard. Once in the mouth is a pleasant sweet taste.
The filling is very fruity and has good texture. But our pie is not even half full! It's mostly air! We were robbed!
