Summary
Here is a Mince Pie that is a special treat, but you'll need to travel to Motherwell, Scotland to get one of these. The Pie is only abailable from Denholm Bakers.
It's not a deep filled pie, but it looks great, has a real 'Home Made' feel with the pastry escaping over the edge of the foil case. Presentation is great, with a generous coating of granulated sugar and two slits to let the seam out. Despite is short stature it's a heavy pie so there is going to be plenty to enjoy.
First impressions are great. The pastry is soft and buttery and doesn't crumble. The filling it lovely an fruity and not too sweet.
A great little pie that you could pass off ans one you made yourself....We only wish there was more of it
