A very pleasant pie today. It looks like it's been squeezed into that pastry case. Nice round top with pretty star design. Near perfect sprinkle of granulated sugar still on the top. The pie feel a little heavy in the hand and comes cleanly away from the case. Excitement builds, could this pie be full of delicious filling, lets hope so. First impressions are good too. The pastry is soft with a slight crunch, the pie reasonably full with only a small air gap. The filling is sweet, but a little disappointing, little texture or fruit in my pie. All together a good pie, let down by it's filling.
