Summary
Another Waitrose Mince Pie today, this time their 'standard' Christmas Shortcrust Mince Pie. As you can see this is a pleasant looking pie, with two small stars on the top. It's an average size pie. It cam out of it's case rather too easily, so we suspect that this is another example of pies not being cooked in their cases. Could this be a new manufacturing technique?
First impressions were good, the pastry was a little crunchy in the mouth. The filling was fruity and not too sweet.
Over all quite a nice pie, nothing standout about it... just a nice pie.
